Terrazzo Counter Troweling101 viewsThe dry concrete mix (with added natural pigment for coloration) is hand troweled into place. This requires experienced guys who know how to add just enough water (which is sprinkled on top of the dry concrete mix so it can be worked) and apply pressure to work out the air bubbles.dozer

A/C Installation101 viewsThe A/C unit during installation. Note the electrics are not surface mounted (the are in the wall as with other fixtures) and on the outside the main compressor is wall mounted so as not to take up any ground space and minimize the connection distance. This is a 13000 BTU unit which can cool the master bedroom + great room.dozer

Exterior Walkway Tiling100 viewsThis shows rebar strips being pressed into the newly poured exterior concrete surface to make a faux tile finish. Terracotta Tiles Being Laid99 viewsTerracotta takes more care to lay than regular tiles. Due to the way the tiles are produced, they are not all the same size, much like grade C tiles -- therefore, extra care must be taken to make sure they come out looking straight in the given pattern. The tiles are pre dipped in a liquid silicone derivative so they can't degenerate with moisture. dozer

Applying 2" Composite Sheeting on Soffit99 viewsThe soffit is finished with 2" Shera brand composite sheeting. These are nice and functional, but more expensive than flat composite GRC sheeting. dozer

Taped Exhaust Vent98 viewsThe taped exhaust vent mounted in the soffit underside prior to the detail paint application. One thing that must be minimized with masking tape is the amount of time it is affixed to the masked surface, after time it tends to leave a hard to remove glue residuedozer
