Walkway Concrete PourDuring the walkway concrete pour. The walkways are done with concrete with a added natural pigment for coloration. Notice the blue PVC water line sitting under the rebar mesh. Terrazzo Counter TrowelingThe dry concrete mix (with added natural pigment for coloration) is hand troweled into place. This requires experienced guys who know how to add just enough water (which is sprinkled on top of the dry concrete mix so it can be worked) and apply pressure to work out the air bubbles.dozerSep 27, 2011

Exterior Walkway TilingThis shows rebar strips being pressed into the newly poured exterior concrete surface to make a faux tile finish. The rebar strips are used after the concrete has had time to 'set up' so that the impression can be made by pressing the rebar frame into the concrete.dozerSep 27, 2011

Terracotta Tiles Being LaidTerracotta takes more care to lay than regular tiles. Due to the way the tiles are produced, they are not all the same size, much like grade C tiles -- therefore, extra care must be taken to make sure they come out looking straight in the given pattern. The tiles are pre dipped in a liquid silicone derivative so they can't degenerate with moisture. dozerSep 27, 2011
