Taping for Paint ApplicationThe taped kitchen wall exhaust fan and in the upper corner the taped decorative glass blocks. The windows come with pre applied plastic which will be removed after the paint is applied, so these don't need to be taped.dozer

Bathroom Terrazzo CounterThe nearly finished bathroom terrazzo counter. Terrazzo counter or floors can be done with various colorations (achived by adding a pigment with white portland cement) and stones (sizes and colors).dozer

Skirting BoardThe skirting board is brand shera (same as the soffit material). It is affixed by drilling holes in the concrete wall and inserting a plastic grommet. Then a hole is drilled in the skirting board which then is drilled into place. The screws are countersunk so they are level with the surface. Then a white plaster is applied (as seen) to make the screw head undetectable. dozer

Wood Trim for Ceiling FinishThese teak wood trim pieces have a 90 % fitting to allow them to be easily applied to a corner, as in this application. They are lacquered with several coats prior to being affixed in place. At the joints a matching 45 % cut is made so they but up to each other with no joint being apparent. dozer

Air Powered Nail GunEvery wood worker will have an air powered nail gun. They shoot small nails into the wood and affix to the sheetrock gypsum board. It is a pretty effective way of attaching trim wood that is used universally in Thailand.dozer

Metal GateThe gate metal work being done offsite. Even with a simple gate design, which I highly recommend as the normal elaborate Thai style gates I find ugly, some parts cannot be done by normal site workers, such as the circle rounds, as a machine is used to bend the metal. Normally outsourcing metal work is worth it since the finishing will be more detailed.dozer

Caulk Application to Counter InsertsHere caulk is being applied to the joint between the wood counter door inserts and the inside of the opening. dozer
