4 Jan 09 Site visitThis is what we saw on arrival today. All the rebar forms were trucked in today and the foundation crew was hard at it carrying and placing them into position for all 31 holes. Hot, thirsty work. But they look like they can handle it.pklongball

2 Jan. '09This is the view today. The builder brought in the needed equipment for the foundation concrete mixing. Lumber, sand, gravel and other items. First step was to line the bottoms of the holes with a layer of concrete to place the footing rebar on. This process happened over the weekend in preparation for the raising/blessing on Monday the 5th.pklongball

House floorplanThis was the last drawing of the floor plan from the architect. We already have made a couple of changes to the master bath(pushed the wall out about 50cm) and the kitchen/office wall will push out about 100 cm to enlarge the kitchen mainlypklongball

50 percent of the wallHere we see two side walls built with the back and front yet to go. The price of the plot included a complete wall and gate. It is the poorest, cheapest wall money can buy but if it lasts a couple of years I'll be happy.pklongball
