19 March 2009Here we have the beginning of the wall between the kitchen and living room. We will end up with a countertop and pass thru window on both sides to allow getting beer and goodies to the living room.pklongball

19 March 2009This is one of 4 kids the wall man has. Typical young boy, school is out now and he wanted to be with dad to help him. I guess he got tuckered out and needed a nap.Normally the builder does not allow any kids on the job site except if the family has some issues.pklongball

19 March 2009I added this shot of this column to show a small problem we had in discussing the outdoor lights on the columns. Sparky had to chisel out the brick here and re-route the pvc to the outside of the column not the place he put it. Small but crucial to locate this decorative light on the correct side of the column. One of those confusion things when we were all talking and pointing where things should be placed.pklongball

19 March 2009Here we have a wall view of the master bedroom wall and preparations to make the concrete lintel. The method for any wall lintel is to shape the AAC blocks into small pieces and glue them into the cavity to allow poring of concrete for the beam.pklongball
