Form Work Horizontal Beam #1341 viewsThis shows the form work for the first horizontal beam, which will poured below the window line (beam height 80cm - 90cm). Note also the plumbing vent exhausts run up in the wall vertically and will exhaust through the ceiling.

Slump Test339 viewsCPAC ready mix cement quality control (QC) staff perform a slump test. This is a standard test which is done to verify that the concrete is 'firm' enough. The slump is measure from the top of the cone and is specified to be between 5 to 10 cm.

Floor pour set-up338 viewsThe prep for the pour of the floor. Note the spacers and wood that will be used to indicate floor depth. The plastic under the rebar frame is the damp course which will seal the floor and ground beam and protect them from ground moisture.

Cinderblocks being laid in a Corner337 viewsThis shot shows the blocks being laid in place at a corner. The holes with the 12mm rebar will be filled with concrete to create vertical columns of support each 40 centimeters around the entire design. Also, you can see the use of the guide lines to keep the block work vertically and horizontally straight.

'M' Truss Section334 viewsThe truss sections are in a 'M' formation, which will give adequate support for the roof tiles across a 7 meter span.

It can be found at most stores that sell garden supplies, not only is it functional, but also clean and inexpensive. dozer

Ready Mix Concrete being worked325 viewsIt takes a team of at least 3 or 4 workers to work the poured concrete into a floor prior to it start to set. Notice this team. One is using the smoothing tool to set the surface, the other is vibrating and the other is moving concrete.

Rebar Floor Meshing323 viewsThis is a scale shot which shows the 6mm rebar meshing used in the floor pour. Additionally, note the spacer and the piece of rebar that extrudes from the ground beam, which is used to secure the floor mesh in place.
