Box Beams228 views17 Feb 2009 They started the day measuring the "C" channel and cutting to length and welding pieces together to get the correct lengths and then sandwiched two pieces together to make a bx beam. Each length will span several columns to form the support for the rest of the roof structure.pklongball

The roof begins225 viewsThis was day one of the roof beginning. 2 men and a younger man showed up with tools, welders, some scaffolding and started work assembling our roof. I'm guessing 10 days to 2 weeks to complete the steel work and get ready for the tile.pklongball

I also told him I wanted some vents in this area on bouth sides of the house for getting some fresh air under the house. The vents will be built to keep any and all the unwanted "guests" from entering the space.pklongball
