Roof StructureThe roof is nearly finished and almost ready for roof tiles. It has taken about 2 weeks for the roofers to make this. The walls have been built in the last week of this time.kknajOct 15, 2010

Looking GoodThis front side view is a great angle to show the design of the roof before tiles are laid. Here the walls are about 90% complete. Here the front windows are 2 meters hight x 2.5 meters wide.kknajOct 15, 2010

Landscape designI made this landscape design to show the builder the overall plan. As well as making it ready to give to the future landscaper.kknajOct 09, 2010

Progress so farThis picture shows the Roof steel is nearly complete and the walls have started. The builder is so eager to keep going that they are doing the walls at the same time as the roofers working. At the moment there are up to 14 people working on the site.kknajOct 09, 2010

Internal WallsFront door frame and back door wall space. Originally the idea was to use the cement blocks for internal walls. However the builder asked for and we delivered too many red bricks (12,000 x 1 baht each) which looks like its enough to do all internal and external walls. The windows are larger than normal for this design which may account for his confusion. Either way I'm not fussed as the price works out to be about the same and with a fixed price for the building there is no extra cost.kknajOct 09, 2010

Completed PillarsThese pillars seem to be larger than I thought they would be. All the better they look better from outside. For my design all internal walls are flat without pillars. the external walls will show the pillarskknajOct 09, 2010

PlumbingOnce the foundations and pillars were complete the builders dug out the dirt to place all the PVC plumbing for sinks, toilets and taps. I had to be there to point out the missing items. They don't seem to understand the architectural plans too well so it is important to be there are show where the missing items should go. This includes putting the shower drain under the shower, not on the other side of the room.kknajOct 09, 2010
