Piles of Sand and stone for concrete mixingI should have insisted that a wooden structure be constructed to hold the sand and stone as just dumping it on the ground and using it caused a lot of wastage and required a big clean up later on. chiymanJan 18, 2011

Pouring Conccrete into the columnsThis is another entirely manual process whereby concrete is mixed in the concrete mixer by hand as described previously and then delivered by wheelbarrow before being lifted in small buckets passed hand to hand to the guy standing on the platfom who then tips it into the column formwork. This was an all day job to complete the 18 columns. Concrete volume circa 2.25 cubic meters.chiymanJan 18, 2011
