Level LineA long clear plastic tubing is used to create a level line which will be used to set the top level for the floor tiles. The tube is filled with water, on one end a line is marked at the water line. At a different area perhaps several meters away another mark is made (in is a two man process). This two independent marks will be at the same level and measurement can be made from this point downwards to determine the target level for the tiles. dozerSep 27, 2011

Kitchen PaintingThe kitchen being painted. The paint used was super shield (both primer and the finish coat). The kitchen and bathroom are semi gloss (washable) while the rest of the house are done in matte. dozerSep 27, 2011

Slab put in PlaceHere the granite slab is set into place. The holes and edges are cut at the stone factory. The sinks were used by the factory to guarantee a perfect opening for the under mount sinks. The faucet holes will be drilled on site.dozerSep 27, 2011

Faucet HolesThe faucet holes are drilled on site by the granite people. A special bit is used and water is poured during the during the drilling process to avoid having the granite surface crack. dozerSep 27, 2011

Wood Trim being AppliedWood trim being applied to the corner section of the tiered ceiling. Glue is applied to the underside of the trim prior to nailing in place via an air gun. dozerSep 27, 2011

Wall Tiles AppliedThe lower row of tiles is supported by concrete nails. This level is where the floor tiles will be after they are laid. Spacers are used to ensure consistent spacing. The surface is roughed prior to laying the tiles.dozerSep 27, 2011

Joint RepairThe joints are puttied to make so the wood looks as if it were one piece. The joints are miter cut to fit together at a 45 degree angle.dozerSep 27, 2011
