11 - up high !Almost 10m high !

On the first day I had to fight for the guys to buy and use ropes, and find a harness. Once they got up they understood and listened...
Had to teach them how to use them when high on small branches, and nobody got injured. (sigh... ! )

Trimming almost finished on that one, cutting branches scratching neighbor's house

08 - Mushroom tree VS trafficAll the branches had to go down 1 by 1, with a rope.
Had to be careful of the traffic. Some Bast**d almost run me over.

That tree was sprayed with fungicide.

06 - Mushrooms on branch - very bad signSeeing this was really worrying me beforehand for the guys who would climb up in the tree.

Injured trees very often have mushrooms infections, but when it comes to the point where you can actually see the mushrooms, it means that the wood has been extensively damaged already, and that the branch/trunk may break if you climb on it.

Fortunately that tree wasn't too high !

04 - Poinsettia old woundOne of the numerous old wounds on the poinsettias.

Should have been properly treated when fresh. The branch has been broken/cut twice ; hole open on wood inside tree ; not looking good for aesthetics.

As we are almost above wall separating with road, I suspect ko-to-mo teams treatment.

03 - Poinsettia old woundOne of the numerous old wounds on the poinsettias.

Should have been properly treated when fresh. Hole open on wood inside tree and vertical opening ideal for rain to get in, accompanied by insects + mushrooms...

10 - looks like finished treatmentBoth cuts look like finished treatment, look good with ruber paste ... but on the right, the cut direction was not optimal, meaning that the tree could not cover the cut directly. The tree then has to 'sacrifice' the branch remnant first (dead branch), wait for it to fall off, then try to cover the hole.

Exact opposite of tree doctoring. Had to ask the guys to climb again...

The one on the left is perfect.
