Guests can see forums, look at topics, but can't read them.

Isn’t that a little too restrictive?

As I remember the old setting allowed read access but no posting & it may not have allowed viewing of pictures in the threads

Thanks, it may be, the current settings allow the pages to be indexed by bots but the guests will need to register. I have double checked that the registration seems to be working with no hitches.
