The site was down due to the fact that I was running phpBB version 2.0.15 and a new later version 2.0.16 was out and contained an apparently critical security patch (or so the host thought). I though I was on the latest version since I just updated it last month. Boy, I guess not. Anyway, thanks for the emails and calls we should be back up and running now!

Hmmmmm, I did tell you about the update, anyway, the last couple of days I been upgrading my pcs, and now I cant find my password for here and I have know idea of what email addy I used, so I can not access the pm you sent me, who said the internet was fun? bloody liar whoever it was

We'll I didn't really know what update you were referring to. Anyway, there are phpBB updates all the time. Seems my host now doesn't like phpBB so is trying to get everyone on SMF. I was already on almost the latest version. I hope they don't start doing this every week.

naa, this update was critical, if your site got hacked they could have then got into the server, thats why your server turned off your forum, if you want I can give you the contact details of a very good server whose main guy is here and lives in naklua, he will then tell you which updates are critical, and if you ask him nicely he will even do the updates for you,it's the same guy I use for my domains.

yeah, but thats what they said about the last one, 2.0.15 also. it hosed up the attachment mod which is still on the previous version. However, i have successfully single handedly got the attachment thing going again.

You are using lunar, they will not help you, as you saw today they just close you down, maybe time to think about a good server perhaps that actually helps you to stay online, just email me at thailuts@mail.com for details. It's not my business so I have nothing to gain from this, or just do a virtual on my site and email the admin of the server.
