Often there are posts were the poster states that they do not know how to create a link within a post.
Let's walk it through.
1.) I want to link to a post on barbed wire. I go to the post and copy the url address (either right click the post heading and copy or copy from the address bar on the top of your browser.
Here is the link. http://www.coolthaihouse.com/forum/view ... 95&start=0 Notice how by just copying the link I can't double click it.... it is still just text within the post, not yet a link.
2.) If you highlight the address you just copied into the post and hit the URL button on the top of this box you are typing in here is what happens:
[ url]http://www.coolthaihouse.com/forum/view ... 95&start=0[/ url]
(for the purpose of this example I have added a space before 'url' so it isn't yet a link, but in real life it would be.
3.) No if you want to get tricky then you can add some text that you want to link to like this:
[ url=http://www.coolthaihouse.com/forum/view ... 95&start=0]post on barbed wire costs[/ url]
That's it. Have fun adding links.
Here are the actual links as they should appear in your post:
-the first one-
http://www.coolthaihouse.com/forum/view ... 95&start=0
-the second one-
post on barbed wire costs
CORRECTION: That is news to me, the first link text without any URL before or after now appears as a link automatically so it is even easier than before. I still recommend using the procedure in step 2 or 3 though.
