Leach pipe.A leech system septic tank always end with a system of these. Should need no further description. It's a 4" / 100 mm pipe with holes drilled in it. See the forum on Plumbing to know more.
Seepage tanks should also have an overflow pipe. It is essential to measure the percolation of the substrate before simply installing the more simple seepage type of tank.

EnIn spite of a harmonious design by Mrs Jazzman, the builders managed to use THREE different shades of grout on the floor tiles although the bags were laid out and labelled.jazzman00000

Front PorchThe drainpipes we used for the pillars don't look too bad at all really. While waiting for the ordered mosaic tiles to arrive, we gave them a coat of green paint. They will later be adorned with some porch lights.jazzman00000

Guest bathroomBrits don't believe in using up valuable real estate for low occupancy space. Our bathrooms have plenty of room for a WC pedestal, double shower unit, washbasin, plenty of space to hang your clobber while you wash, and for the gents, even a urinal.jazzman00000

soffit3" wide Sheraboard planks. Screwholes later filled with matching woodfiller.
This wasn't exactly what Jazzman was expecting when he came to inspect the work at the end of the day. The pattern is certainly interesting and is faithfully reproduced again on the opposite corner. Sometimes even Thai workmen can have a creative streak!

Floor drainsThe drains in the the bathrooms and on the terraces were protected with PVC film and screwed into their pipes to serve as further height guages. Their height will be adjusted again later to be flush with the tiles. These diecast drains cost 140 baht but turned out to be not very good so we got the much more expensive one in the next picture instead.jazzman00000

Sandstone claddingThe columns in the living room were clad with sandstone bocks. Pity the workers couldn't keep them straight!

Granito.jpg
Laying Granito slabsThis is a tricky job and precision is a word Thai builders don't understand. Each slab has an arrow on the underside ensuring they are all laid in the same direction. They are butt laid (no spaces for grouting) and the large 60 x 60 slabs should each be checked with a spirit level when laying.

LimeLite_block_flower.jpg
LimeLite blocks: flowerWe put two of these in the wall between the living room and the patio. The blocks are the same size and thickness as the normal glass blocks. These LimeLite blocks cost between 450 B and 600 B each depending what is inside them, and can be bought at HomePro.
