Measure land infill heightUsing a water tube, the height of the soil infill is measured. It should be 50 cm, but it was found to vary between 25 and 40 cm. Hence the soil man was told to fill to the agreed level of 50 cm, and not beat around the bush, by saying the land is uneven in places. Payment is being withheld until 50 cm is achieved on the whole land.

The agreement was verbal - next time everything will be in writing - lesson learnt - don't trust anyone.

Found the pipesConcrete pipes are needed in order to build a pier to mount the telescope. Appropriate concrete pipes were found at the local cement/pip shop. Each pipe is 1 metre long, with an inside diameter of 28 cm. Cost per pipe is 280 baht. I bought 3, and the delivery van followed us to site.Max&Bee-in-CM55555

10th October some more preperationFront wall completely gone along with gate and old water tank. In the middle ground left hand side you can see the topp of the well which we are going to use for when the council supply fails. It will get plumbed into the watertank along with a pump. We saw a great square water tank, looks like brick at HomePro, made by DOS. Sadly only 900 litres whereas we could do with one that is 1200.changnoi55555
