This was ten carts of soil which we bought to raise the house.... I am told that it is auspicious to do that but I think it will need quite a few more carts yetpaulm

Our piece of heavenOur piece of land, a expensive piece of heaven in any Thai's eyes I would think but we had looked around at a lot and decided that this was situated in the right place, i.e. on the main road in and out of the village and almost opposite the monastery. If all else fails I will not have far to go should I decide to become a monk.paulm

Marking out landWhen we bought the land the first thing we had to do was buy some posts and have them sunk in the soil to mark the land until we have time to build a wallpaulm

Carts of soilIt is amazing how little 10 carts of soil really is. I thought that would be enough but when you stand back and look, it is just a small amount, so I guess there will be quite a few more carts to be delivered before the house starts to take shape.paulm
