Kitchen view 2539 viewsThe cooker hood was got cheap for 6,500 baht from Home Pro, Udon. Normal price was baht 13,000 but it was in a sale because it had been a demo on a display board in the shop. The two-ring glass cooker hob cost about 4,000 baht (if I remember rightly) from Global House, and the stainless steel double sink and drainer cost about 2,700 complete with tap (faucet), drains, and underneath plumbing pipes and U-bends.jazzman

Ceiling fans538 viewsCheap, 48", only 590 baht in GlobalHouse. This one is just spot welded to the beam. It will be taken down again and the tube will be cut to the correct length for suspension in the circular ceiling recess.. The hook will then be securely bolted to the beam and the welds repainted.jazzman

Day 27 Gable ends.535 viewsWhile the roof was going on, all the wiring, switches and sockets have been installed. I am only counting the days actually worked. The foreman has bought a new car (I'm obviously paying him too much) so with that and a wedding in our family no work was done for over a week.
The soffit and the Conwood are leftovers from building the house. Tomorrow the ceiling team is coming to do the plasterboard ceilings (sheetrock) that will have circular recesses for the ceiling fans.jazzman

Green House Motel531 viewsThis is the only sketch that was made. No plans or blueprints were produced. It probably won't look anything like this when it's finished. basically, the foreman was given the dimensions and a floor plan and left alone to figure it out. What he's not sure about , he comes and asks.jazzman

528 viewsFloor slabs being laid over first floor beams. The 6mm rebar seen embedded into the floor beams will be bent over the floor slabs and tied to the wire mesh laid over the floor slabs prior to pouring an additional 5cm of concrete on top of the floor slabs. This makes the finished floor ~ 10cm thick.Rick B
