Glass Block SpacersThe glass blocks are cemented in place using spacers (either wood or plastic) to guarantee uniform spacing. On the right and left notice the fish line true lines to aid in achieving straightness. A rebar strip (6 mm) is laid horizontally on every other row to add strength.dozerSep 27, 2011

Smoothing the RenderAfter setting in a bit more the surface is worked smooth with the use of a render's darby in combination with a wet sponge. dozerSep 27, 2011

Finished SurfaceThis is the finished surface after smoothing. Close examination ensures that no hairline cracks are present. Cracking is a sign of improper rendering, either via improper mixing or application. dozerSep 27, 2011
