Starting the Roof PanelsAlthough you can't see it in this picture, we used standard 50x150 composite panels, but had them cut in half (75cm length) to give them a better look (more like the smaller concrete roof tiles). Since the labor contract was fixed-price, our only extra cost in doing this was that we needed twice as many fastener hooks. No extra steel was required.DrDaveApr 28, 2009

Day #1 - Foundation LayoutOn the first day of construction, the house footprint was located on the land from some rough markings my wife and I had placed before we returned to Phuket two days earlier.
