Diagonal Checks for Column PlacementThe correct placement of columns is important to the overall project to ensure that the wall angles are as they should be and the house is as designed. Often the only tool used is an external measure + the use of a small square. This shows one additional check, taken from the 3 4 5 triangle rule. If you measure 3 meters along one axis and 4 meters along another axis the diagonal should be 5 meters (or in this case 6, 8 and 10). This is done in addition to measuring the diagonals for equality.dozer
