software upgrade

Post by dozer »

We are now on the new and most current release of phpbb 3.0.4 (the forum), coppermine 1.4.20 (the photo gallery) and the interface (bridge) between the forum and gallery. These items were installed today, let me know if you notice any problems.

Nothing noticeable in the interface; It's' mostly code and security improvements.

This happens occasionally. It's nothing to do with the forum software or the server. It's the Thai government messing around with the connections - a bit like traffic jams on the motorway due to roadworks.

Still exceptionally slow from the UK. I access a few other Thai server hosted sites and am not experiencing the same bottleneck?

Hi Tung,

Let's not even try to guess how much they are paying for their bandwidth...

The bandwidth one is tricky. Too many fingers in the pie to really track it down. There were around that time some international problems with under sea lines being cut, why some websites would not be affected I am not sure.

As far as the release, mostly maintenance release (security enhancements) with some minor added functionality and stability, especially related to the picture gallery.
