Is it possible to change a thread title?

Is it possible to change the title of a thread I have already started. The reason I ask is because my build project will progress in three or more phases. I already have a thread on the first phase, 'Rebuilding the Kitchen' which is now complete and might only have a few more posts to add. https://w...

In the past we've used http://www.tillekeandgibbins.com, very reputable, but not cheap. ( Iguess you get what you pay for).

Get them to advise you on Usufructs and Leases

Indeed we shall, but it is my experience that it is never a good idea to ask a question of any government official unless you already know the answer.

Not knowing before you go in is like having a huge sign above your head saying 'Rob Me Blind'.

Building and Business Permits

Two questions: When is a building permit required (ie are there certain rules about the size of a building that does/does not require a permit)? When is a business permit required (any advice/experience on that). We are now seriously considering adding a few 'guest bungalows' to our plans to rent ou...

I think the problem is house and land prices have shot up considerably since the first post on this thread (early2005). I also always suspect that if a foreigner shows interest in a piece of land then the seller/agent/lawyer will imediately asume a better price can be had. Not only that, we learned ...

My wife and I bought from the bank and are extremely happy with the purchase. My advice would be spend some time looking at the bank websites, you'll need a good map to identify 'Possible Buys' as some of the addresses are misleading (ie our address was listed as a seperate Tambon but was right next...

I think you need to check the extent of your land ownership. My advice is be very careful with any use of land at your boudary and be extremely careful with the use of land that has not covered by a full Chonote. I'll post a blog later on my current project, but let me just say that the boundary of ...

My wife and I own land along a river front, we enquired about building a jetty for a boat and were informed by our lawyer that we would need to get permission as our use of the land stops at the water's edge. AN Other point, if errosion cuts off part of your land to form an island, that then becomes...

Leasing Land - How's it done?

My wife owns a plot of land which we plan to develope as our home, my wife has agreed that the best way to deal with title and security for me is for me to take out a lease on the land. Has anyone actually done this and if so what was the procedure. We'll probably use a BKK law firm to advise and do...

I'm adding a link to this other post regarding hidden charges when buying from the bank http://coolthaihouse.com/blog/?p=154

I wouldn't want anyone else to get caught with that one.
