Do I need to download something so they show?

On some building stories the photos don't appear but this shows. Some stories the photos appear?

I forgot to add that it always says "no unread pots" ......even if there are posts that I haven't read. <It's working for me. As far as I an aware you can't turn it off but it might have something to do with a recent software update ... if you haven't already try logging out and back in ag...

I used to be able to hover my mouse pointer over the page numbers of a build story and it would come up "unread posts" or "no unread posts". It made it easy to catch up with the ongoing stories if I had not logged in a while....Did I turn something off?
