I'm still having the same problem with log-in using firefox with an iMac and this started about three days ago. Did all the stuff I used to have to do with windoze, but to no avail will just keep logging in for now.
The only change I made is adding the avatar.

I am in the dark about your sugestions but i am assured by my son he has checked everything this end updates are not available on this computer because i say no automatically cookie/s have been binned a week ago and a full scan for virus'es 3 days ago being ilitterate with computers i have to get my son to do all checks
An interesting thing is i have two pcs and at the moment the second one will not let me log in to the forum home page???
I can stay logged in if i scroll down and use the search box at the bottom(jump to) but if i go to forum home page select forum it drops my login same deal if i turn off the computer even though it checked to remember it boots me off strange thing is i have never logged off since i joined the forum(almost a year)
I am assuming that as another member has the same problem ??? something has changed somewhere
No 1 son is in IT as a profesion and has agreed to visit tonight to do more checks but assures me that he will find nothing amiss this end as he has verified with his brother what has been done so far
I confine my activity's to this forum only so cannot confirm if the same happens elswhere

Geordie is seems going back to the home page or changing to a new thread causes the log out. I am on a number of different building web sites and this is the only one with this problem. As I said before it started the same time as you and Thaifly so lets not start the blame game.

“also use Firefox ^^ I 've not been kick out or loggued out since i loggued few days ago.. that Confirm the forum WORKS properly.. and the problem is on your side obviously”

Different computers, cities and systems something is wrong with the site. Every thing was fine until about three days ago. I’ll put my money on your boys. Mystical not likely!

OH I had to log on again just to post this.

It is not back to normal yet. AS LONG as you just stay on the forum and do not go back to the coolthaihouse home page you will not have a problem. Every time you go back to the homepage it will auto log you out of the forum and you must then log in again.

I will be addressing this in the next couple of days.

hello again...

To help dozer on his work I have to report once more.. that i did do the test u are talking about.. as such as going to main page..and come back to the forum, going to blog page..etc..etc.. I have never succed of being log out...not even one time.. as long i don't click on Logout bouton myself.

The only bug I have.. comes from my side.. my connection is so slow that I have to stop the page loading after posting because i can wait 5 mn.. i still have no page, so I stop it and reload the index page or the previous page, and that works fine like this.

I use WIndows 7 and mozilla firefox last version on an Acer 751H netbook, connection in TL is AIS mobile on gprs or Edge when available.

Dozer... is phpbb updated ? I see a lack of 2 years of update on phpBB but maybe you keep the footer like this for purpose.

geordie, Toshiba is the brand of your computer.. it seems to be a notebook .. how long you didn't install Microsoft Windows after a fresh format ? sometimes it's the only solution to solve recurent strange problems, ask your son to do that.. after you have backup all your work. But if it works.. don't touch anything.. and light a candle to thanks the good spirits or touch real wood.. not Conwood !!! lol

Peace 4 all

Poi Fai thanks for your suggestions but as I stated before this problem started about three or four days ago and the ones having log out issues are in different cities have different operating systems (mine being Mac OS X) and different computers so don’t see how the problem could be on our side. I think suggesting Khun Geordie do a complete reinstall of his windoze OS would be a big inconvenience at this stage as Khun Dozer has experienced this condition and stated he will be addressing this in the next couple of days.

Geordie, I was wondering about your not being able to log in on your second computer. Did you log off the first one before trying to log on with the second one? Could be you can’t be logged on with the same user name as the system thinks your already on. I also never log off after a session my guess is there is an auto-log off after a time of being inactive. Ah the joys of the wired world. Just so you know this time I went back to the home page from the coolthaihouse then back to this thread and as The fly said ALL SYSTEMS A GO GO..

I had fixed the problem when you tried this. Before that every time it would log you out if you listed on the home page. Now it is fixed.
every time i want to reply to a posting i have to login again
Part of the problem which required additional time spent in trying to track down the problem was initially it was being reported that each time someone did a post they were forced to logon again. So I tried this, posting one post and then seeing if I was logged out. No I was able to post again. When reporting a problem please provide the exact sequence (as well as possible) of events that led to the problem. IN this case the problem only appeared if the homepage was accessed (www.coolthaihouse.com) which logged out the user and forced them to re-logon prior to posting again.

Summary; The problem was actually caused by a new installing of wordpress, which has nothing to do with this forum, but is the blog software. If you notice on the homepage, now the listing of blog articles has been reformatted, this is now coming from an RSS feed instead of invoking WP each time on the homepage (which was causing a forum logout).

The problem is now totally fixed, although I may tweak with the formatting on the homepage when I get time.
